Note that according to current permissions customers with no access to Jira can only manage object links to issues and cannot access full object information.
The Catalog Select fields can be added to Service Desk projects and displayed on the portal. For Customers, the work as usual select lists, however, it may help you get some valuable statistics and enrich your Catalog. A Customer (use with no access to Jira) cannot access the Catalog section.
