At first, the EpicTime application should be added to your Jira. Read how to find, add and manage the Cloud apps (Atlassian documentation).
The new EpicTime web-section becomes available for any issue automatically right after app installation.
Ensure the Time Tracking section is enabled so the users will be able to specify the estimated time and log the spent time.
On the global level, you can set if the time fields should convert time up to days and weeks or the time should stay in the hours and minutes format.
If the conversion was selected, Epic Estimate, Epic Remaining and Epic Time Spent will convert time to days and weeks according to the system Jira setting for time tracking. (Read: Configure time tracking)
Section alignment settings
As Administrator, you can define where the Epic Time section will be located within an issue. Two variants are available:
- in the left block
- in the right block
Navigate to Jira Settings → Apps → Epic Time and select the preferable option. You can change it later. By default, the left-side location is selected.
